T.I. Sets New Record On Billboards Hot 100

(as you can see on my Billboard top 5 to the right of you)

T.I. establishes the mark for biggest jump to the top of the Billboard Hot 100, as "Whatever You Like" soars 71-1 in its third week on the list.

the hit song off T.I.'s upcoming album Paper Trail has jumped from its debut at No. 71 on the Hot 100 chart to the top position in record time. Tip’s accomplishment surpasses rock band Maroon 5’s song “Makes Me Wonder,” which went from No. 64 to No. 1 in May 2007.
A No. 1 opening on Hot Digital Songs with debut-week sales of 205,000 downloads is the impetus for the record-setting Hot 100 move, which surpasses the 64-1 hike taken by Maroon 5's "Makes Me Wonder" in the May 12, 2007, issue.

"Like" is the rapper's first No. 1 as a lead artist (he was featured on Justin Timberlake's 2006 chart-topper, "My Love") and his opening-week digital sum is the best by a rap track since Nielsen SoundScan began compiling download data in 2003.

"I don't know if I was supposed to tell or not, but I don't give a (bleep)," he said. "If I was supposed to keep it a secret, they should have not told me."

Chris Brown and Rihanna Moving In Together

R&B’s hottest young couple are taking their relationship to the next level. Twenty-year-old singing star Rihanna, and her rumored BF, crooner Chris Brown, 18, have spent the past month shopping for a condo, which they plan to share, a new tabloid report claims.

Chris and Rihanna are hoping to purchase their first love nest in the Los Angeles area and have been spotted viewing units in Beverly Hills’ Sierra Tower.

She and Chris want to live together,” a Star Magazine insider says. “They play their music loud though, so they want a condo that’s soundproof.”

Game Says Jay-Z is Talking about Him In his song "Jockin' Jay-Z"

With his new album, LAX, in stores this week SOHH sat down with The Game to talk first week sales predictions and to find out why he thinks “Jockin’ Jay-Z” was directed at him.

Despite efforts from his arch enemy’s website, Thisis50.com, to leak free downloads of his latest album LAX, The Game is confident his sales will still thrive. “My album being in stores makes me feel like a winner,” said The Game. “I’m excited. I sold 130,000 records on iTunes [Tuesday] morning. So that combined with the people in the streets, it’s probably going to be successful come next Tuesday, Wednesday.”

Though he is optimistic, the West Coast-based rapper says he isn’t too concerned about the first week sales numbers of his third and final album.

“Whatever the number comes out to be will make me happy,” he said. “I’m just happy to have another album in stores and still be co-existing in hip-hop with some of the best lyricists that ever lived.”

One of the lyricists that Game is referring to is Brooklyn-bred rapper Jay-Z. In recent months, The Game has been quite vocal in his desire to lure the rapper into a lyrical battle. On the LAX cut, “Dope Boys,” which features Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker, Game taunts Jay by hijacking his hook for “Roc Boys (And The Winner is).”

“When I heard the, ‘Roc Boys in the building,’ I was like, well, I’m in Cali we do the dope thing. Everything is dope for us. So I came with ‘the Dope Boys in the building’ and then he comes with, ‘Jockin’ Jay-Z, I’m still dope boy fresh.”

Game thinks that this was an indirect diss. “Me and Jay I guess we trade subliminal hits every now and then,” he explained. “And you know poke fun, but it’s nothing too serious. It’s never going to be a fist fight or anything street or nothing real violent to come out of it.”

“If anything it’ll be a lyrical war which I’ll engage if he engages and if not then you’ll let it go away.”

I Think Game is going paranoid, and he knows he really is "Jockin Jay-Z"since he says Jay or Beyonce name in every other song on the album

ThisIs50.com leaks Games whole album as if it were a "Mixtape"

People are still reeling from the shameless strike against The Game's CD sales. If you haven't heard yesterday 50 Cent's popular site Thisis50.com [which boasts they have a 11 milllion readers, yea right.] leaked Game's entire new CD as a free download.

After logging tons of downloads the link was eventually taken off the site. Somebody over there knew they had to have been in the wrong because now the site is sending out emails to all its members warning them about uploading copyrighted and unauthorized material. Here's some of what they had to say:

Uploading illegal or disruptive content is a violation of terms of service and you could be banned.

Clever way to try and hide behind your members and point the blame at them for the leak. I just hope that 50 Cent remembers that he's also got a solo CD coming out in December. And what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

Now we know it leaked like last week, but still that's low for an artist to leak another artist entire album. Differences or not.
