Music News:

50 Cent's Son Kidnapped?

50 Cent claims his ex-girlfriend, Shaniqua Tompkins, has kidnapped his son, Marquise.

Reports say that 50 made his claim in a recent interview with Sister 2 Sister Magazine, where he discussed the source of his feud with Tompkins. Allegedly, the feud began with 50 insisting that his son have a better home and education.

"It wasn't important before the beginning of last year because he (Marquise) was being home schooled... I was paying a teacher $60,000 just to teach him by himself," says 50 in the interview. "He was learning slower because it was just him and the teacher. So he needed to go to where he had the best possible schooling district and I found a house in the area that was, like, $1.5 million."

50 alleges that Tompkins began receiving bad advice from friends, who insisted she should receive more child support to be consistent with her new situation. After a court battle, 50 evicted Tompkins out of the home he had bought for her. "Her lawyer decided to present to the public that 50 Cent is kicking his son out of the house," said Fif.

Since the "suspicious" fire that burned down Tompkins' house, 50 says she has fled with his son while she battles for custody and child support. "Now they done kidnapped my first one (son). My son's mother got him, holding him hostage."

I hope everything goes well with 50 and his son...But in the end, the mother has a right 2 sum money - even if its not all going his son, the law is the law. (even when there wrong)

Rick Ross Finally Addresses The Cop Talk

Rick Ross has hit back at recent reports surrounding his previous employment with the Florida Department of Corrections. During an interview on Friday (July 25), Ross addressed the latest developments as “rumors” and maintained that he is a victim of a massive smear campaign.

Speaking to Phoenix, Arizona Hip-Hop station Power 98.3 (KKFR-FM), he responded to the question of his past employment by simply saying “Don’t believe the hype”

“In the game we in, it’s real competitive,” Ross told Power 98.3 FM. “Competitors have to do what they have to do to eat. We making the best music. Y’all seen the BET Awards, y’all saw the magazine. We the biggest in the game, we the best in the game. Just keeping it real. And anytime somebody can attack my character, like I said, you get nothing from the Boss. I don’t give haters the pleasure.“

In video footage of the interview, which took place during a fan meet-and-greet at the Virgin MegaStore at the Arizona Mills Mall, Ross is seen dancing and interacting with fans, apparently undaunted by the continuing appearance of “evidence” of his two-year stint as a Correctional Officer at the South Florida Reception Center in Miami-Dade County.

Ross said he views the discussions the documents have created among his fans, foes and colleagues alike as part of in the rap game.

“When you get to my level, you’re a great conversation piece,” Rick Ross calmly explained. “I’m big on the blogs, I’m big on the magazines, and I appreciate that as an artist. That’s why I’m in the game. I got in this game to introduce people and to make great music. And that’s what it’s about. “Just keep the rumors coming,” added Ross, who’s sophomore album Trilla debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top 200 album chart.

“We gon’ keep the records coming, we gon’ keep the music coming. Like I said, I’m one of the realest sources of this real street music in this game. Straight out of Miami, straight out of M-I-Yayo. One of my closest homies was on America’s Most Wanted.”

Ross also revealed that he and Foxy Brown were no longer an item.

I really dont have more 2 say about this...the records are out, he cant denie it no more. It is what it is, you either accept or dont.

Jay-Z Denies New Album produced Entirely by Timbaland. "If Kanye Makes 10 Great Tracks He Produces the whole Album

Jay-Z recently spoke up about his new album; denying claims by longtime collaborator Timbaland that the Virgina native will be responsible for producing the entire project.

“You know I love Timbaland, he is like a brother to me, but until the music is done it’s premature,” Jay explained to Rolling Stone. “I’m a person that works off music.

Continuing to break-down overall production for the follow-up to his certified platinum American Gangster, Jay added that the credit could go to whoever makes the best sounding beats.

“If Timbaland makes 10 great tracks then he produces the album,” he said. “If Kanye West makes 10 great tracks then he produces the album; if he makes three, I’ll take three. I let the music dictate the direction.”

Switching gears to talk about his recent performance at the Pemberton Festival in Canada, Jay spoke on some of his crowd-pleasing skills during his live show.

“I change things up, I change ‘Encore,’ I’ll play the Linkin Park version,” he continued. “I have some other tricks, I play to the audience, I really want people to thoroughly enjoy it.”

I just wanna hear some good music from Jay, some music with originality not like American Gangster where every other track was a sample. Who ever brings that to him, im happy.

Did Ludacris Jeopardize Barack OBama's Presidential Campaign?

In gearing up for the release of his new album Theater of The Mind the Atlanta rapper has been dropping songs virtually everyday. But it's a new song that he made for Barack Obama that's landed the presidential hopeful in some hot water with critics and pundents forcing him to denounce and separate himself from the Def Jam star.

In his new song titled "Politics: Obama is Here". Check it out here:

This line is what has politicio's fighting mad: “Hillary hated on you, so that bitch is irrelevant." Not one to let anyone stir too long Barack and his camp quickly fired off a statement. And here's what they had to say:

“As Barack Obama has said many, many times in the past, rap lyrics today too often perpetuate misogyny, materialism, and degrading images that he doesn’t want his daughters or any children exposed to. This song is not only outrageously offensive to Senator Clinton, Reverend Jackson, Senator McCain, and President Bush, it is offensive to all of us who are trying to raise our children with the values we hold dear. While Ludacris is a talented individual he should be ashamed of these lyrics.”

Oh Boy... Hey, Luda was just speaking his mind, but YOU KNOW they gonna act like Obama said everything in the offices.
